The Mid-Atlantic Equine Surgery unit is headed by two board certified surgeons, and provides 24-hour surgical coverage. We are known as a premiere colic referral center in the tri-state area and also specialize in orthopedic and upper respiratory surgery.

The surgeons are assisted by a team of well-trained interns, surgical technicians and anesthetists to provide excellent care for the emergency or elective procedure required. In addition to exceptional surgical technique, state of the art anesthetic techniques and monitoring are utilized and all horses are assisted during recovery from anesthesia in a well-padded room.
