Ambulatory Services

The ambulatory department of Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center services farms, both small and large, all over Hunterdon, Bucks and Mercer Counties. Clientele ranges from top level competition horses to pleasure horses.

Field services include preventative health care, which is essential to keeping your horse healthy. Routine vaccination, dentistry, parasite control, programs and nutritional consultations are just a few of the services provided by the doctors in order to keep your healthy horse performing at its best. In depth lameness evaluations can be performed on the farm using advanced diagnostics such as ultrasound and digital radiography. IRAP (Interleukin 1 Receptor Antagonist Protein), one of our newest joint therapies can be harvested on the farm. Drs. Marr and Tompkins, in conjunction with Dr. Dean Neely our theriogenologist, provide top quality reproductive services right on the farm. In addition to routine and elective procedures, the ambulatory department is equipped with state of the art diagnostic tools to evaluate and treat a wide variety of conditions and injuries.

The ambulatory department of Mid-Atlantic Equine Medical Center prides itself on its professionalism, compassion and dedication to providing the highest quality ambulatory medicine. Their relationship with the in-clinic specialists at MAEMC assures that your horse will receive the best care as quickly as possible.
